San Jose has nation's lowest housing vacancy rate: When I first moved here there was 100% occupancy, we fought for our first apartment because my then fiance waited at the door of the rental office until it opened and even then we competed to get our tiny 2 beroom apartment for 1900 a month. History seems to be repeating itself in Silicon Valley!
